The AutoSecure tool is designed to batch-process PDF documents automatically. The tool secures a PDF document by locking the PDF document using a hidden self-generated password. The password is then discarded and is no longer required to open the document.
The protected PDF document is immune to edits or changes. This maintains the reliability and security for each protected PDF document.
All protected PDF documents can still be opened using any Adobe Acrobat Reader application 10 or 11. Since the password protection only applies to the internal contents, the PDF document can still be open in read-only view without the need for a password.
The AutoSecure tool is extremely easy to use. Simply point the tool to a directory and choose the PDF documents to automatically start the batch-process.
AutoSecure's batch-process engine allows the end-user to affect how PDF documents are secured. The engine includes options to control the end-result of a PDF document transformation. The user can maintain the original documents by telling the engine to copy the secured PDF documents to a separate folder. Or, the user can tell the engine to directly update the original PDF document with a secured version.
The AutoSecure engine is intelligent. The AutoSecure engine is designed to automatically detect locked PDF documents. When a PDF document is locked, the engine will automatically unlock the document, update the PDF document with the new secured version, and re-apply the original read-lock to the final PDF document.
